Jersey Cake Recipe

To a pound of flour take three quarters of a pound of fresh butter

beaten to a cream, three quarters of a pound of lump sugar finely

pounded, nine eggs, whites and yolks beaten separately, nutmeg to your

taste. Add a glass of brandy.
