1/4 cup sugar

1 egg

2 cups flour

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 cup milk

3 teaspoons baking powder



A good breakfast toast is made by dipping the slices of bread in a pint

of milk to which a beaten egg and a pinch of salt are added, and

frying.
